So, I asked different AI models to review my resume
And sharing the combined results
Honestly it was more honest than most reviewers
Last week, I uploaded my resume to 3 AI tools just out of curiosity
Because, I myself review multiple resumes and wanted to improve myself
If my resume - with experience at Meta, Salesforce, Tesla, SAP, Amazon still has gaps, then what are junior and mid-level engineers missing without even realizing it?
The result?
AI gave me feedback I wish someone had given me 8 years ago
So I’m sharing the breakdown with you here - the good, the bad, and how you can use the same insights to improve your own resume fast

The Good Feedback
1. Strong career growth
AI highlighted the obvious pattern:
Amazon intern → Tesla → SAP → Salesforce → Meta
It shows consistent growth and increasing responsibility
It mentioned that recruiters love this kind of timeline
2. Clear ownership
Many of my bullets start with verbs like:
Led
Built
Architected
Shipped
These show responsibility, not support.
AI said most engineers often write “helped with” and “worked on,” which feels junior
3. Wide technical range
Java, Go, React, GraphQL, Python, Kubernetes, cloud platforms.
AI called this a “signal of adaptability,” meaning:
I can pick up things fast
This matters more than listing 20 tools
4. Cross-team influence
Building features across Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, Threads, Oculus.
AI emphasized this as must-have and most engineers only show impact inside one team
The Constructive Feedback
1. Fewer measurable results
AI pointed out something important:
I talked about the work I did but not the outcome of that work in some of the points
Example from my resume:
“Built and launched Meta’s Family Center”
AI said:
What changed because of it?
Did teen safety metrics improve?
Did adoption increase?
Did it impact engagement?
This is a spot where most engineers struggle too
2. Some bullets are too long
Places like SAP, Salesforce, and Meta have heavy text blocks
AI said:
“If it can’t be scanned in under 6 seconds, you lose the reader”
3. Skills section is overloaded
I listed 20+ skills (Java, Go, Angular, Redux, Docker, LLMs, Vim, Pandas)
AI said this is common but weak because:
When you list everything, nothing stands out
4. Not enough story
The resume lists what I did.
But not why the work mattered or how it connected to the next step of my career.
AI said it feels “transactional”
This is normal for engineers, but it’s fixable
